John Huddleston received his Masters in Tax Law in 1999 from the University of Washington School of Law. He obtained his Law Degree in 1989 from the same institution, where he was a member of the Washington Law Review Executive Board. He graduated from Washington State University in 1986 with an Accounting/Finance degree.

Mr. Huddleston practiced law from 1989 to 1998, both for the government as a deputy prosecutor and for his own firm. From 1999 to 2002, he worked as a tax consultant for Johnson & Shute, CPAs, advising small businesses. He started his own firm in 2002. Mr. Huddleston no longer practices law and is not a member of the bar. He devotes his time exclusively to the field of tax accounting. Mr. Huddleston is experienced representing small businesses and individuals in various tax matters.

Chuck McClure has 29 years of experience in public accounting. The Washington State Board of Accountancy issued him a license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1982. For twenty years, he was the principal of Charles McClure CPA, P.S., providing expert tax advice, tax preparation service, quickbooks, valuation and accounting service to various small businesses. He also has a masters in taxation from Golden Gate University. Prior to starting his own firm, Mr. McClure worked as a CPA for J.D. Franklin & Co, CPAs for seven years. Mr. McClure has also published a number of articles in local business journals. He was selected by the Wenatchee Business Journal as Accountant of the Year.

Ed began his accounting and tax career with Arthur Andersen, CPAs after graduating from California State University at Fullerton in 1976. That experience qualified him to become the corporate tax manager for Pioneer Electronics Corporation of America in 1980 and experience business from “inside the lines” instead of consulting from the outside. During that time, Ed obtained a masters of business taxation degree from the University of Southern California. He then started his own CPA firm in Southern California consulting with businesses and individuals, helping them solve their business, financial and tax goals. Ed eventually sold his practice in California and escaped to the glorious Northwest where he now helps clients while working for Huddleston Tax Consulting.

Jennifer Zhou graduated from University of Shanghai in 1996 with a degree in Accounting. She worked as a tax accountant for Price Waterhouse at their Shanghai office from 1996 to 1998. In 1999, she graduated from the University of Houston with a Masters in Accounting. She was awarded her license as a Certified Public Accountant from the state of Texas in 2003. From 2000 to 2002, she work Briggs and Veselka, CPAs. From 2003 to 2005, she worked for Johnson, Horak & Hopkins, CPAs. The Washington State Board of Accountancy issued her a license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in May, 2007.

Jennifer Zhou has focused her CPA practice on assisting small businesses with their tax and accounting needs.

Tawni Berg graduated in 1999 from Brigham Young University with a degree in Accounting. She was awarded a Masters in Tax Accounting from the same institution in 2003. Her previous experience includes tax preparation and consulting for Hawkins, Cloward & Simister, CPAs, financial statement and quickbooks consulting in house for a construction corporation and tax preparation and consulting for KPMG at their Seattle office. She also was employed as a Senior Tax Accountant for Matthew G. Norton Company, preparing tax returns and providing tax consulting to several businesses.

Tawni Berg is licensed by the Washington State Board of Accountancy as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She is experienced handling the tax and accounting needs of small businesses.

Jessica Chisholm graduated from Western Washington University with a BA in Accounting. For the past seven tax seasons, she has assisted small businesses clients with their tax preparation, consulting and accounting needs at a few Seattle Bellevue area CPA firms. From 2005-2008 she worked for Proctor Company, a CPA firm with a focus on tax preparation and accounting for Medical and Dental practices. Prior to that, she worked for Philip S. Maxeiner, CPAs, again with a focus on tax preparation and accounting for Medical and Dental practices. She is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by the Washington State Board of Accountancy.

Huddleston Tax Consulting is a CPA firm focused on the tax and accounting needs of small business. Employees Jennifer Zhou and Tawni Berg are CPAs, each with Masters degrees in accounting and prior experience at “big four” CPA firms. CPA and Principal John Huddleston has a law degree and a Masters in Tax Law. The services provided by Huddleston Tax Consulting include tax preparation, tax consulting, business consulting, payroll, Quickbooks consulting and bookkeeping. However, we do not provide reviewed or audited financial statements. In our experience, the vast majority of small businesses do not require these services. A small business would require the extra expense of these services only if it is required by a lender or investor. If such services are needed, we are in contact with other quality firms that can provide these services.
